Postby Andyb » Fri Apr 08, 2016 12:56 pm

These are a few pictures from the site of the SS headquarters in Berlin which me Phil and Ron missed but me and my other half found and had a look around . The original basement walls are still there and the site is now a museum .

Sorry I don't have a lot of information as I am not into the german side but I took a lot of photos for you chaps

I remember going there a few years ago, not a very nice place to be during the war..

Was there also a few years back - its not the easiest place to find, but well worth the visit.

When i first visited, which must be 10 / 12 years ago, there was no museum, just the ruined cellar walls. None of that nice gravel, and just a couple of signs. It was usually deserted too, and left to ruin it felt a little more poignant. But a lot of that end of "town" seems to have had big money spent over the last few years, lots of museums springing up... Will there be a Fuhrerbunker museum soon?
