German Prussian Emperor Kaiser Wilhelm Centenary Medal 1897

Pre-WW1, but I will post it here to try and fill out the medals a bit more:

This Prussian medal was awarded in 1887 so as to honour the 100th birthday of Kaiser Wilhelm 1st. It was authorised by the Kaisers Grandson - Kaiser Wilhelm 2nd in March of that year. It was awarded to all veterans of the wars in 1848, 1864, 1866, 1870 and 1871. The medal is made from the captured French cannons from the Franco-Prussian Wars of 1870-71.

A heavy medal with beautiful detail, this example has a very crisp relief on both sides and comes with the bright yellow correct Prussian ribbon.

Thanks for looking, I will try and get a few more medals up.
