Hi Guys,

Thought I would share another K98 Bayonet from the collection.

The Bayonet is a matching numbered E.PACK & S and is stamped "40" on the spine for year of manufacture
The Kar98k pouches are a match set and are the riveted variant that holds down the flaps
The SS Buckle is Nickel Silver Overhoff - O&C ges. gesch
Infantry Assault Badge - E. Ferd Wiedmann with LDO marking L/51
Silver Wound Badge - Klein & Quenzer A.G. with 65 marking
Ost Front and EK2 Ribbon Bar
NCO Bakelite Whistle w/ Lanyard
The M-43 Oak Camo Field Cap is Post War made from original Zelt material (can't afford an original)

Cheers!

I have had 3 of these bayonets Don in the past, all now sold. They are incedibly sharp and a very strudy quality. Can I ask does yours have a blued blade? Two of mine did, not sure how the whole blades were tempered like this or if it was performed another way, but yes very, very sharp!

Excellent example Don. If you were planning to have just one example that would be it I think. With matching numbers as well…that’s a bonus.

Regards Mark.
