German M40 Single Decal Luftwaffe Helmet
One from my collection is this great example of the standard issue at the time of a M40 single decal Luftwaffe helmet. From the photo's you can see it has had some light use but overall is in excellent condition. It's a Quist made helmet as many M40 Lufts were. Size 66 (shell) with the corresponding liner a size 58 (as stamped). Liner is in almost perfect condition, very soft complete with liner cord. The chinstrap is marked, both with markers mark (Franz Brehme) and the unit designation of Flak 24. The decal has a nice golden tone and is in great condition as well. Overall a very nice helmet and one that would be very hard for a collector to upgrade.
Regards Mark.

To top it all off the helmet also has a dome stamp which is a inspection stamp done randomly to check on production quality.

M42? Certainly  the thing is you can put them on and take them off to get a different look without affecting anything so it's a win win situation. Sorry mate which helmet sold? Regards Mark

Re: German M40 Single Decal Luftwaffe Helmet
Lucky to get this one looking back now in hindsight. Seller told me that he had lots of interest in this helmet after I had bought it. I guess the old saying of 'the early bird catches the worm ' applies here. Regards Mark
