2nd Armored signet ring

Postby muckaroon1960 » Wed Jan 08, 2025 5:04 pm

I'm assuming this is the correct description for one of these. Had the opportunity to purchase off a guy at work. 2nd Armoured "Hell on Wheels" signet ring. Sterling silver and has the word Scout on one side which i presume is exactly what it represents. No idea what the stone is or could be coloured glass. A bit too tight for my little pinkies at the moment

Looks cool Paul. First one I’ve seen.

First for me as well. To be honest, it reminds me of my High School Graduation Ring.

Silver, with the same colored stone. I'll dig it out and take a photo.
Here is one I got off a google search for Grant High School. Almost the same vintage as mine (I graduated in 1982).

Whats funny is I found this ring on a random Google search and it's about 12 miles away from the High School I graduated from.

I believe these types of ring are made for all sorts of commemorative events. American footballers get given a similar pattern ring for winning the Superbowl and no doubt World series baseball players probably as well. **==
